Project 2026

“When you get to a place where you understand that love and belonging, your worthiness, is a birthright and not something you have to earn, anything is possible."
~ Brené Brown

My art celebrates the human spirit, the stunning light within us all.  You can miss it on the news or online, where fear and suffering reign. Amongst all the noise and jockeying for our attention, it can be quiet and discrete, a restless insistence to help, to connect, to do the impossible.  Art calls us to listen, heed this voice, show up without means or answers, and honor ourselves and each other.

Making art in service to this luminous force means that I’m most often involved in months-long, large-scale efforts that can look and feel more like construction work than creativity.  In 2026, I began a morning practice to feed my need to DO SOMETHING (more quickly) by making small works with the words I most need to hear in the moment.  I then gift them sometime throughout my day to help, connect, and do the impossible - keep our attention on the world we want to create together.

If you are a recipient or simply love the idea, I encourage you to hop onboard by regifting and/or creating your own art to give to others.  Please share on Instagram with #project2026.

Gifting is at the heart of this project, if not my bottom line.  For those who see the vision and believe in it, please give any amount.

“How absurd to be alive and not really live. So, let’s joyfully rebel against the unlived life. Let’s sing unsung songs and share untold stories. Let’s dance down a new path - a path of infinite possibilities. It’s paved with love. An aburd amount of love. I’ll meet you there.” ~Brad Montague, “The Absurd Manifesto”
